While Scarecrow supports those choosing to do Dry July and Plastic Free July we are also on board with Radio Hauraki’s Beer & Pie July so will be offering a special pie every week matched with a  Hallertau Craft Beer. For just $20 you get a beer and one of Chef Andrew’s pies with a little side salad to nourish body and mind.

We will have one of four pies matched with beer available every week as well as special pies Andrew dreams up daily.

Here are some of the flavours you might get to enjoy:

Moroccan Spiced Lamb – this tagine style creation warms bellies and brings peace, enjoy with a #6 Session I.P.A. from Hallertau to cleanse the soul.

Spicy Vegetable & Puy Lentil – is a pie without meat really a pie? Come try one, and weigh in on possibly the most controversial issue this July, matched with Hallertau #5 Pilsnah.

Brisket & Blackbier – have you had our brisket sandwich? The pie version might be even better! We think it goes well with a #3 Copper Tart Red Ale.

Creamy Bostocks Organic Chicken & Leek – it is organic so it must be good for you and we all know anything with cream is awesome.  matched with #2 Statesman Pale Ale

At only $20 for a gourmet pie and craft beer you could try eat one everyday but we suggest a little restraint, enjoy four beer and pie specials in July and you can come back for a 5th on us!
